Foodpanda Malaysia  recently rolled out a new payment scheme, where their riders will no longer earn RM4 hourly. Instead, they will have to rely on per order payment and an additional bonus of RM100 if a rider has completed 60 hours of delivery in a week. Despite the new incentives, riders took it to the street to voice their dissatisfaction as the new payment scheme will not benefit them due to the long delay time between orders.

Along with Minister of Youth & Sports,Syed Saddiq, many foodpanda customers are also voicing their displeasure on #Twitter over how foodpanda is handling the concerns of their riders.

Some #foodpanda users are going to the extend of deleting the app from their smartphones in solidarity of the riders. Some even suggesting to leave bad reviews on App Store to send a clear message to #foodpanda.

What’s more shocking was the arrogance of the managing director of #foodpanda, who reportedly said that they are "ok" if riders decided not to work.

He even suggested for them to give away their shifts so that it will not affect the livelihood of other riders.

In the battle of riders and foodpanda organization, who will win?
We'll see.
